Could you help with my research?

Some years ago I experienced the sudden, unexpected death of my son, then aged 19 months. The nature of his death, led to an initial police investigation, which is standard practice in these circumstances and no charges were  subsequently brought. The whole process left me with many unanswered questions about the investigation of sudden, unexpected child death, how this may affect parents and how any support needs could be most effectively met. This interest has led to a research study at the University of Sussex, which focuses on these issues. I am now hoping to find parents who have experienced the sudden, unexpected death of a child, aged 0 -18, with a subsequent police investigation, but without charges, who may be willing to talk to me about their experience.

I am happy to discuss my research study and answer any questions so please feel free to contact me. I could also send out an Information Sheet, which explains the study in greater detail.

If you were interested in learning more, please contact me by email at D.M.Turner@sussex.ac.uk or by phone on 07884 151688.

Thank you.
